Dental Exams and Cleaning: Brushing at least two times a day and visiting your dentist every 6 months can help prevent gum disease. Gum disease may occur when plaque – a colorless, sticky film that forms on the teeth causes irritation, swelling and bleeding to your gums. Over time, plaque builds up underneath your gums which may result in a periodontal or gum disease. This may now lead to eventual tooth loss, which in turn may result in jawbone degeneration. Visit us today to keep your teeth and gums healthy!

They say that prevention is always better than cure. Dr. Z will thoroughly examine your teeth, jaw, bite, gums, and mouth and evaluate the risk factors to your periodontal health. If you have undergone previous restorative dental treatments such as dental filling, root canal, implants, and extraction, it is best to visit Dr. Z and have your current restoration be evaluated. This can help prevent any complications or infections and check the need of any follow-up procedures.
